Project Description

Augmented Reality (AR) is a technology that enriches the real world with digital information in the real-time. Augmented reality has many applications. Its first usage was in military, industrial, educational and medical applications. It expanded into entertainment and other commercial industries. This project is based on augmented reality utilization in medical imaging. The augmented reality will merge the ultrasound image with its real position in the organ we need to image. This will help surgeon to determine the place inside the patient's body before the operation. Also, it will help clinicians to take samples using biopsy from a specific organ by determining this organ with its real position in its real place inside the body. As a result; time and effort will be saved and reduced. It is used in training for junior clinicians. It has the ability to record videos to help clinicians in diagnosis. As far as we know, the idea is completely new which is a big challenge to implement it.
