Project Description

It's an Iot project where we are targeting Children from 5 yrs old up to 12 who are diagnosed with diabetes. The main concept around this idea, that whenever a kid who has diabetes is outside his house, anywhere in the world,Even WITHOUT his parents being around,he will know exactly what to do without going to any doctors or hospitals or even going to his parents for help. Technical SIde : The project has two sides, the hardware side; where we will invent a wearable Gadget(3d printed) that is a watch-like,this gadget will has a measurement sensor(Non-invasive), most likely to be IR or Gas sensor, that will be used to measure blood glucose level(through breath in the case of the gas sensor) then the reading will be sent automatically to a cross-platformed App,thus the app will determine the dosage of insulin he needs, after the exact time of injection, a feedback message will pop up in the notification bar from ur app on ur smart phone, telling you exactly when did you take the dosage and the estimated time for the next dosage with its quantity calculated. Wireless Connection used : Internet(GSM Mod) - WIfi Note * the 3d printed gadget will include a hanger where you can attach the insulin pin into Note** The app is children-appealing,not looking like the old fashioned boring diabetes app where only grown-ups are the only ones who are able to use it and fully understands it,it will be a game-looking-like app where every step or instruction, the CHILD who uses it will be clearly understandable to him, with no need for external help or continuous monitoring(the app will be aided by graphical drawings to make it easier to use) Note3: The project will consist of 1- the gadget that will has the measurement device or sensor and the insulin pen 2- and the app on the user smartphone; and is the pen happens to run out of insulin the app will notify him and will get him the nearest supplier or pharmacy or even the number of the nearest user of the same gadget to get help from,in ot.
